A Showtime original movie based on the last
script by renowned writer/director Samuel Fuller, Rebel Highway:
Girls in Prison (1994) is one part genre sendup, one part homage
and one part straight-ahead chicks-in-prison flick. Directed by
former construction worker John McNaughton, Girls in Prison is
obviously steeped in the traditions and bylaws of incarcerated
babe cinema. McNaughton's cast of B-plus-list talent--including
a once-self-proclaimed lesbian and the daughter of famous free-loving
hippies--gleefully submits to sadistic screws and suggestive showers.
Fast Forward to: (1:02) Leading lady inmates Anne
Heche, Ione Skye and Bahni Turpin are all slick-skinned and soapy-sweet
in this institutional shower stall treat.
Skinfo: Director McNaughton, who first raised
the radar with a cold dose of nihilism called Henry: Portrait
of a Serial Killer (1990), hit his skintillating stride with the
steamy and creamy Wild Things (1998). |
